Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Specifications Leak Alongside New Patents

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Specifications Leak Alongside New Patents
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Specifications Leak Alongside New Patents

With over a month to go before Samsung reveals its next Note model, there is no shortage of leaks related to the upcoming handset. New reports have surfaced on the Internet tipping the innards of the Galaxy Note 7 apart from the new home button design, and a possible first look at the Samsung's new Touchwiz UX Beta version.

According to a Chinese tipster who posted purported specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the handset will come in two variants featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 and Exynos 8893 SoCs. It is being speculated that the Snapdragon 821 version will be available in select markets such as the US while the Exynos model may go on sale in emerging markets such as India.
Additionally, new alleged Samsung patents have surfaced that hint the Galaxy Note 7 may sport a different home button. First reported by Patently Mobile, the new USPTO patents indicate that Samsung is exploring new ways to include the fingerprint scanner-embedded home button on the front of the Galaxy Note 7 with a new square shape, while another patent hints Samsung might place the fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device. More importantly, the leaked patent documents also show how Samsung plans to implement the iris-scanner technology on its smartphones. Patently Mobile cites Samsung's patent notes which said, "The iris recognition system may generate an image signal by capturing images of the face and eyes of a user which are in a field of view for the iris recognition system. In various embodiments, the iris recognition system employs three lenses to capture the image signal, and then checks the iris of the user based on the image generated as well as other information."

In addition, a new leaked video (via HDblog) has surfaced on the Internet which claims to detail the new TouchWiz UX expected to launch with the Galaxy Note 7. Based on the video, the new TouchWiz 'Grace' UX is said to sport new notification panel, revamped settings menu, new colours, and some new customisation options.
Some of the other innards tipped for the Galaxy Note 7 include a 5.7-inch QHD Super Amoled display; 6GB of RAM; 64GB/ 128GB storage models with expansion support; 12-megapixel rear camera with dual pixel PDAF; 5-megapixel front camera; 4000mAh battery, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with alleged TouchWiz 'Grace' UX. Notably, the Chinese tipster claims that the Galaxy Note 7 will be the first handset featuring a 256GB inbuilt storage option. The innards tipped by the Chinese tipsterare in-line with what @evleaks recently claimed for the Galaxy Note 7.

iPhone 7 Release Date, Specifications, and All Other Rumours

iPhone 7 Release Date, Specifications, and All Other Rumours

Apple suppliers Foxconn and Pegatron are mass hiring workers urgently, leaks are flowing in full force, and the iPhone 7 countdown has officially begun. The most anticipated smartphone of the year is scheduled for its traditional September release, but the rumour mills have already begun toiling relentlessly to give us even the tiniest pieces of information.

Gathering from these leaks, the iPhone 7 is not expected to see any major design tweaks, except for a minor few. However, there are some significant changes that are worth a mention. We compile all the rumours and leaks that have surfaced online so far, and give you a comprehensive list of all that is expected to come with the iPhone 7 this year.

Three variants
In 2013, Apple released two iPhones for the first time - the iPhone 5s and 5c. The following year saw a major design overhaul with Apple ditching its 4-inch smartphone size entirely, and releasing two smartphones in different sizes, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. Last year, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus were released with software upgrades. However this year, Apple is reportedly taking it a notch further and is tipped to launch three variants namely iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and the iPhone 7 Pro/Plus Premium. And as we head towards the actual launch, yet another report is tipping the presence of three variants - the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 7 Pro.

32GB base storage variant
Apple is rumoured to finally be doing away with the 16GB base storage variant, and replacing it with a 32GB option. The company first introduced the 16GB variant in 2008, and it has remained as the base model ever since the iPhone 5 in 2012. With the rise of the app culture, alongside 4K recording capabilities, this shift to a 32GB base model makes sense in more ways than one.

256GB top storage variantAlongside the 32GB base storage variant, Apple is reportedly also planning to bump up the storage on the top model - taking it up to 256GB. With the iPhone series legendarily eschewing support for a microSD card, this bump up should help power users get the most out of their iOS powered mobile. However, for now, it is uncertain whether the top variant would only be available on the iPhone 7 Plus or iPhone 7 Pro, or whether it would extend to the smaller screened iPhone 7. A new report tips that the iPhone 7 will be available in 32GB, 64GB, and 256GB variants, while the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro will be available in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB variants.

Antenna bands

The antenna bands at the back are expected to disappear, giving the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus a sleek simple mono-coloured back design. Leaks suggest that the bands will be shifted to the top and bottom edges instead. A more recent rear panel leak once again points to this.

Smart Connector
There are conflicting rumours on this one. Some reports suggest that the iPhone 7 will come with the Smart Connector first introduced with the iPad Pro for connecting the Smart Keyboard Cover and other accessories like charging docks, while other leaks have shown no presence of the Smart Connector. It remains to be seen if the Smart Connector will make its way on to the iPhone 7, even if it's just the top end variant.

3.5mm headphone jack
This has been rumoured for a while now. Apple is reportedly considering giving the 3.5mm headphone jack a miss to make the next iPhone much slimmer than its predecessors. Other reasons may include providing a better quality audio experience to users via the Lightning port. If introduced, the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack it may be the single biggest difference for consumers. Rumours of a Bluetooth or Lightning-powered set of EarPods have accompanied these leaks. Another report indicates Apple will ship a Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter alongside regular 3.5mm EarPods to buyers this generation, whilst removing the 3.5mm jack.

Dual SIM iPhone?
A recent report tips that Apple will for the first time include a dual-SIM iPhone in its lineup, though the same report also claims the 3.5mm headphone jack will remain - contradicting several other reports.

Dual camera

While the iPhone 7 will stick to a single camera lens, the dual camera setup is expected to be embedded in the larger iPhone 7 Plus. This will be the first time Apple dabbles in the dual camera feature, and it will be interesting to see how the dual camera setup changes the quality of the pictures produced, from better low-light performance to improved colour accuracy and faster autofocus. A recent case render also tipped the dual camera setup on the iPhone 7 Plus, alongside inclusion of the Smart Connector.

Deep Blue colour variant
Apple is reportedly also looking to introduce a Deep Blue colour variant with the iPhone 7 this year, and, dramatically, discontinue the popular Space Grey colour variant.

3GB of RAM
To accommodate the dual camera setup, the iPhone 7 Plus will increase its RAM size to 3GB. There is no information whether the base iPhone 7 variant will receive the bump, but we sure hope it does.

Stereo speakers
A few images have been leaked showing speaker grilles on both the sides of the Lightning port hinting that the iPhone 7 might come with stereo speakers.

Four speakers
A recent leak has tipped that the iPhone 7 will come with two sets of stereo speakers, like the iPad Pro, on the top and bottom panels of the smartphone.

Optical image stabilisation
While the iPhone 7 Plus is tipped to sport a dual camera setup, both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus variants are tipped to come with optical image stabilisation (OIS).

Slimmer than predecessor
The iPhone 7 is expected to be 1mm slimmer than its predecessor. This can happen only if Apple ditches the 3.5mm audio jack. Currently, the iPhone 6s is 7.1mm thin. The iPhone 7's metal build, height, width, and design profile will stay the same.

Price
Apple is expected to keep the same price points as previous generations for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, with of course a large premium for the top-end 256GB variant. The iPhone 7 Pro on the other hand is expected to begin from CNY 7,088 (roughly Rs. 72,900) for the 32GB model, and go up to CNY 8,888 (roughly Rs. 91,200) for the 256GB model.

Minor changes onlyA recent report tips that Apple will be making only minor changes to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus compared to previous generations, with the major changes due only with the 2017 iPhone, such as an Oled display, and a fingerprint sensor integrated onto the display.

Needless to say, the iPhone 7 leaks will continue to pour in, and more information on the smartphone will be revealed in the coming months. However, it is recommended to take all these leaks lightly, until the official iPhone 7 launch in September - still widely held to be the launch month for this year's iPhone models

Woman Puts Her Baby Inside Burning Car, Then Climbs Into It So They Can Both Burn to Death

In what will come across as a most shocking case of suicide/murder in recent times, a woman has killed herself and her baby on the road.  The woman allegedly put her toddler into a car that was burning horribly and then got inside it so they both can perish.

Naijapals reports that witnesses called 911 on Thursday night when they saw an SUV engulfed in flames in the unincorporated Athens area south of downtown Los Angeles. However, what baffled everyone was that they saw a woman get in and out of the SUV while it was burning.
They said the woman placed a toddler that was about 3 to 4 years old in the burning car then climbed in, and both died in the fire, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Friday.

After the fire was extinguished, authorities found the two bodies.
They also told police that people in a nearby park yelled at the woman to stay outside the vehicle, but she ignored them and still went in. The woman and child died at the scene.
Homicide investigators are looking into what drove the woman to want to kill herself and her baby. They are also trying to determine how the fire started and identify the woman and child.

Nigerian Lady Arrested in India for Attacking Police and Shopkeepers

A Nigerian woman had to be tied with a rope by the police in a bid to restrain her after she allegedly attacked shopkeepers and policemen in an inebriated condition at National Market on Monday, June 27. The woman, in her late 20s, was identified as Mariam. She was accompanied by a man. According to witnesses, Mariam stopped at a mobile phone store inside the busy market around 2.45 p.m. on Monday and when the shopkeeper did not attend to her, she reportedly banged the glass counter twice.
"She was told not to do, as the glass might break. Hearing this, she banged the counter again. The glass broke, leaving her with wounds on her hands,"said a witness who was near the shop at the time of the incident. Almost immediately, shopkeepers gathered around the couple. A heated argument ensued. Someone alerted the Upparpet police. When they tried to pacify the lady, she allegedly attacked them. The police restrained her with a rope and bundled the couple into their van. They were taken to K.C. General Hospital in Malleswaram for a medical test. At the hospital, when asked to get down from the auto, the woman allegedly again turned violent and created a ruckus. Efforts to calm her were unsuccessful. A hospital staff member said, “She was attacking everyone who approached her. Later, when she was arguing with the police, someone came from behind and threw a bed sheet over her. Then she was sedated.”

K.M. Satish Kumar, psychiatrist, K.C. General Hospital, accompanied her to NIMHANS. He told The Hindu that he had reported the case, symptoms and incident to the emergency ward at NIMHANS and got her admitted there. The woman is expected to undergo tests in the morning. The African Students’ Association has accused authorities of using excessive force K.C. General Hospital staff insisted that she was treated professionally and only necessary action was taken to subdue her.

WTF! Wallet Turns to Snake After Thief Stole it from a Traditional Healer in Ghana(PHOTOS)

A shocking incident has left people baffled after they watched as a wallet turned into a deadly cobra in the hands of the thief as a result of black magic. The incident happened on Monday morning in Ghana. The 27-year-old thief identified as Mdu had snatched a wallet from an alleged Sangoma’s pocket (Sangoma is a traditional healer), but shock and surprise took over people's faces as the wallet turned to a cobra as he tried to open it.
An eyewitness revealed that Mdu tracked the alleged Sangoma who was about to board a taxi and confessed that he stole his wallet and wanted to return it.
“He stole a wallet from an old lad, people around are just saying the old man is a Sangoma but no one knows the man around. When he snatched the wallet he went behind that billboard that’s when the wallet turned into a snake.
“Now he tracked the man and found him but the problem is the old fellow is denying his wallet, he even produced a pouch like wallet as proof to show that the snake wallet wasn’t his.
“The snake is not biting him but its stuck in his hands he failed to throw it way, this is first grade black magic. "The police just come after a commotion but they ignored the case, I am not sure what he is thinking right now but if the owner denies the wallet they will have to visit a popular local sangoma to cast out the spell,” he said. A police officer who was at the scene, revealed that they can’t do anything about it but have only called the Parks and Wildlife management department.

According to reports, the photograph was shared on the official Facebook page of the Alaafin, and was believed to have been taken at an event at University of Maiduguri, Borno State last week.
